Ashish is a qualified professional with extensive expertise in energy management and automation. He holds a Master’s degree in Automation from the prestigious Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore, and is a Certified Energy Manager. With over a decade of experience, Ashish has worked with renowned clients such as MGM Macau, Sands Resorts, and Swire Properties, among others, helping them identify and address operational defects to improve their energy efficiency. He has also gained valuable insight into the negative impact of inefficient maintenance practices on overall outcomes, having dealt with these issues directly in his previous roles. In 2018, Ashish became the CEO of Carnot Innovations Limited, where he has led the completion of over 90 AI energy saving projects across Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.

My Sustainability Goals for 2023:

300 to 500 buildings will be deployed with Carnot’s AI Energy Saving solution and we contribute to make Hong Kong a greener city.

As the Cofounder and VP of Technology at Volar Aerospace, Marco oversees the development of technology and R&D initiatives to facilitate green aviation. His responsibilities include spearheading research on electric aircraft infrastructure and software to support the deployment of electric air taxi services, as well as commercializing electric aircraft for sustainable aviation.

With over seven years of experience in the tech industry, Marco has a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions in various fields, including semiconductor, consulting, airline, web3, and advertising tech industries. He is now leveraging his expertise to advance green and sustainable initiatives through the adoption and development of new technologies in the aviation industry.

My Sustainability Goals for 2023:

In my opinion, it would be great to see Hong Kong at the forefront of advancing technology for a sustainable aviation ecosystem. Hong Kong is well-placed to support the implementation of new green technologies, thanks to its established green infrastructure, such as green financing and carbon credits trading systems. This infrastructure serves as a solid basis for the widespread adoption and transfer of sustainable new technologies.

Previously the Managing Director and Head of APAC Client Coverage at MSCI, Jack possesses over 20 years of leadership in the financial industry. Prior to MSCI, Lin was previously head of South Asia at Amundi. He also led and managed teams in global asset management, including as Head of Asia Pacific and Co-CEO International at US-based Janus Capital and Managing Director in Asia at Franklin Templeton, where he helped open offices in Japan, Vietnam, China and Korea. His expertise in financial markets and green capital has helped to drive efforts in sustainable investing solutions.

My Sustainability Goals for 2023:

A stronger drive for green finance and net zero both from top-down and bottom-up

Gabby is the marketing officer of Carbon Exchange (Hong Kong) Limited. She is passionate about sustainability development and ESG issue, in particular on social aspects. She pays attention to the latest ESG topics in Hong Kong and worldwide. She is engaging in the design of sustainability software, namely ESGBOT, SMART 610, etc.

ESGBOT is a Smart Corporate ESG Reporting software. It is designed for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).

Gabby is ambitious to offer helps to those in needs while seeking for supports and resources in the society in achieving sustainability goals.

Dr Wang Zengyue is the Co-founder and CEO of Luquos Energy. Dr Wang Zengyue received his B.E. degree in Mechanical and Automation Engineering from CUHK in 2015, and PhD degree in Mechanical and Automation Engineering from CUHK in 2021. He has experience over 10 years in developing advanced flow battery materails and systems in Prof. Yi-Chun Lu’s team.

We aim to provide safe & low-cost energy storage solutions to enable renewable energy utilization in Hong Kong.

Kelvin Wong, a seasoned professional in the technology and sustainability space, serves as the CEO of Sensestek Solutions Limited. Armed with a strong educational background in Computer Science and a master’s degree in Executive Management, Kelvin’s expertise extends beyond traditional boundaries. As a certified carbon auditor, he focuses on leveraging the potential of IoT applications to revolutionize the agriculture and aquaculture industries. Kelvin’s innovative approach involves precise carbon emission calculations, enabling the strategic deployment of multiple upcycling solutions. By spearheading the implementation of a food waste circular economy, Kelvin and his dedicated team are making significant strides in reducing carbon emissions and fostering a sustainable future.
My Sustainability Goals for 2023:

Kelvin’s sustainability goal is to establish a self-sustainable agriculture and aquaculture farming demo site, exemplifying the potential of IoT and traditional farming methods in swiftly curbing carbon emissions. Through innovative approaches like food waste elimination, recycling, and upcycling within a circular economy framework, he aims to showcase how these practices can revolutionize the industry.

Cynthia is the CEO of Sinosynergy International. She has over 15 years international experiences in UK, Hong Kong and mainland China. Before joining Sinosynergy, her focus was on energy, healthcare sector and investment. She was the chairwoman of a Hong Kong listed company in the energy sector.

Cynthia is the founder and council member of International New Energy Industry Alliance and one of the committee members of Chinese Financial Association of Hong Kong. She has been awarded The Outstanding Businesswomen Award 2020 in Hong Kong.

My Sustainability Goals for 2023:

– To introduce hydrogen vehicles & applications in Hong Kong
– To raise public awareness of hydrogen technology and zero-carbon lifestyle in Hong Kong
– To promote international collabrations on hydrogen technology and industry

Dr. Martin Zhu, PhD graduate (supervisor: Dr. Edwin TSO) from the School of Energy and Environment, City University of Hong Kong, member of the Green Technology and Finance Development Committee of HKSAR. His research focuses on understanding the fundamentals of heat transfer, energy conversion, and engineered materials. He strives to integrate theory and experiments to create innovative solutions for enhancing phase-changing, air cooling, dehumidifying, thermal management, thermal rectification, micro-droplet manipulation, and energy-efficient building technologies. Incubated by HK Tech 300 program, he and his team formed the startup, i2Cool, to commercialize their cooling technologies developed in the laboratory for energy saving. Empowered by the self-developed and ever-improving products, as well as fueled by the highly adaptive and long-term strategies, i2Cool successfully attracted interest from various sectors of society, creating a significant social impact.
